The Top Things to Do in park City with Kids

It’s March & that means Spring Break week! We decided to take the kids to Park City to try skiing and snow-tubing and just being in the snow. It was amazing and they LOVED IT! Just getting on their snow clothes to play outside was exciting for them, especially living in Florida, it is such a change of lifestyle for them.

Stay in Park City or Deer Valley?

There are great hotels in both places but ultimately we decided to stay at the Park City Sheraton and the location was great to the slopes! The hotel was great too, good room rates, they put out snacks every day from 4-6pm and it’s a 10 minute drive to the slopes! Park City is a small town so anywhere you decide to stay is about a 10 minute drive to the main skiing area. Deer Valley as great skiing, hotels and scenery. Really, you can’t go wrong with either location!

I would spend some time on Google, Expedia or Travelocity and look at which hotel fits your style, budget and location. Those are always important things when booking a hotel. If you have some down time from skiing, maybe going to the spa is an important thing for you or maybe it’s good restaurants and a good bar area. You have to find what is going to be your travel style and the best fit for you and your family.

Exploring Park City!

Boy, did we eat and enjoy ourselves in this adorable town! First stop was Main Street and you will be in for a treat here. There are so many great restaurants and we ate at the following ones:

  • Shabu – sushi and you must make a reservation on Opentable. It was DELICIOUS! We ate so many things here I can’t name them all…shrimp appetizers, tuna tartar, sushi rolls…so much!
  • Yuki Yama – sushi and we had the most delicious lunch here. We dropped the kids off at ski school and came here immediately after to get a table. Try the shishito peppers if you go!
  • La Stellina – this Italian restaurant is located in the St. Regis. It is a great place to visit & eat and you take the funicular up to the top. It is a great time for the kids! We all loved the food here. The Caesar salad was finely chopped lettuce with croutons and parmesean cheese in a lemon-caesar dressing – YUM! And the pizza and desserts were amazing too!

Enjoy your time in Park City!

Get a Travels Rewards Credit Card

Getting a travel credit card can be one of the smartest moves you make before planning a trip. Many travel cards offer generous sign-up bonuses that can quickly turn into free flights or hotel nights, along with points or miles earned on everyday spending. Perks like free checked bags, airport lounge access, travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees can save you money and make travel far more comfortable. Some cards also include protections like trip delay coverage, rental car insurance, and lost luggage reimbursement—benefits you’d otherwise pay for out of pocket. Used responsibly, a travel credit card doesn’t just help you travel more often; it helps you travel better.
